Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Please read these terms carefully before using Pregustà.

Acknowledgment

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, you may not use the Service.

You represent that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use the Service.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Service

Pregustà lets you photograph a restaurant menu and view AI-generated photos and information about each dish. Dish photos are generated by AI to show a typical/representative version of a dish based on its menu description — actual plating, portion size, and presentation at the restaurant may differ, sometimes significantly. Dietary tags, allergen information, ingredient lists, and calorie estimates are also AI-derived from the menu text, not verified against the restaurant's actual recipe, and should not be relied on for medical, allergy, or dietary decisions — always confirm directly with the restaurant if you have an allergy or a medical dietary requirement.

Answers to questions you ask about a menu, and the questions the app writes for you to show the kitchen, are also written by AI. A question for the kitchen is a way to ask; the restaurant’s answer is the one that counts.

Prices converted into another currency are estimates, at that day’s exchange rate, and are not shown with an approximate sign. The price printed on the restaurant’s menu is the price; what you are charged in your own currency depends on the restaurant, your bank and its fees.

The sample menus in the app are fictional restaurants, written to show how the Service works.

Free scans and subscription

New users receive a limited number of free scans. After that, continued use requires an active paid plan. Price, billing frequency, and cancellation terms are presented to you before you purchase. Plans are processed by Stripe. You can cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

A Trip Pass is a single charge for a fixed number of days, shown before you buy it. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.

Your account

Signing in with Apple is optional. It lets your history and your plan follow you to other phones. You can delete the account at any time in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it first, from your pass in Account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to attempt to circumvent the free-scan limit through automated means, to abuse, overload, or attack our systems, or to use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Photos you contribute

The Service lets you add your own photo of a dish. You keep ownership of any photo you contribute. We use it as a reference to correct and improve the images the Service generates. We do not currently show contributed photos to other users, and we will update this page before we start. By adding a photo you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, resize and use it for that purpose, and to display it within the Service if we later do so. That licence lasts until you ask us to remove the photo, which you can do at any time by contacting us.

By adding a photo you confirm that you took it, or otherwise have the right to share it, and that it shows food rather than identifiable people. Do not upload anything unlawful, offensive, misleading, or that is not food. Photos are checked automatically before they are stored, and we may remove contributed content at our discretion and without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of the Company for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you have not paid us anything.

“AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” disclaimer

The Service, including all dish photos (both AI-generated and contributed by other people), descriptions, dietary tags, and calorie estimates, is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Disputes

If you have a concern or dispute about the Service, you agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
